The Watts Gallery: A fitting makeover for a Victorian hero

before the makeover I think]

This is just down the road from where I live and I've been visiting it since my teens. Prior to it's make over you could visit for free and there were strategically placed buckets all around the place which only seemed to add to it's old wordly charm, though I obviously understand how detrimental that was to the art on exhibit. I confess I'm a bit scared to go back now it's been done up for fear of it having lost it's magic, but do revisit Mary Watts' memorial chapel on a regular basis just down the road from the gallery. If you're interested, I've written a little about it here;

To my mind, Mary, was as equally interesting as George :-)

Ack! What I meant to put was *strategically placed buckets to catch the rain water that leaked in from the roof* - I really must learn to read what I write before pressing the send button! My apologies for the double posting.

Kate :-)
