Signed with monogram and dated “1853”. Inscribed along lower edge: “I remember thee: the kindness of thy youth, the love of thy betrothal (Jeremiah 2: 2, with “espousals” altered to “betrothal”); and on the gravestone visible through the railings top left: “There is m[ore] joy am[ong]/ the ange[l]s in hea[ven]/ one sinn[e]r that…” (cf. Luke 15:7)
