John Melhuish Strudwick - Acrasia

The inspiration for this painting is "The Faerie Queene", by Edmund Spenser from the end of the 1500s. The enchantress Acrasia is depicted in the 'Bower of Bliss' surrounded by handmaidens with a knight at her mercy.

Probably even more detailed and lush but there is definitely a resemblance.
