I'm always a bit reminded of Michelangelo's David when I see Rossetti's works with Fanny as his model. Not exactly a swan-like neck, is it? Even so, his draftsmanship is lovely.

Poor Fanny. But you're right of course, bit different to her oil. He saw his models through a different vision from the reality.
