William Henry Millais has become somewhat eclipsed by his more famous Pre-
Raphaelite brother, however he is a very competent landscape painter in his own
right. He collaborated on a few pictures with John Everett Millais in the 1850s and
was influenced by the detailed Pre-Raphaelite style. He exhibited at the Royal
Academy between 1853–1892. Work by him is now quite rare and not often seen.
