..potter, watercolour painter, jeweller, silversmith, metalworker, etcher, print-maker and writer on artistic subjects... sigh. Most of us in this day and age are lucky if we can master one area of expertise. I suppose multi skilling a young artist was one of the goals of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Morris was the same - looking at the web site about him last night (I was researching his gardens) it is amazing how many areas he was interested in - and mastered. He obviously passed this on.
