The present picture was painted as a sketch for The Sea Mist Drifts in Shore, exhibited a the Royal Academy in 1892. The location is the village of Tresaith (Carreg y Ddafad) in Cardigan Bay. In the summer of 1891 Brett stayed
in Aberporth, approximately one mile from Tresaith. This painting was owned by the landscape painter Benjamin Williams Leader.
